Regional Districts west northwest north central northeast southwest south central southeast Regional Managers Duties The Regional Managers duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Relaying NCHC information to horse owners on a county by county basis
  • Identify equine organizations within region
  • Attending horse club meetings in their respective regions/districts
  • Build partnerships with regional agribusinesses
  • Organize and conduct a regional meeting
  • Provide input on Equine Associations and activities within their Region to the NCHC
  • Develop regional goals consistent with the NCHC Strategic Plan
  • Develop a regional membership plan (set target numbers, increase memberships)
  • Attend and report regional events, projects, etc at the NCHC Board Meetings
  • Attend and report regional activities at the Annual Presidents Dinner
  • Identify and recruit district managers
  • Provide assistance and support for the Regions district managers
  • Identify grassroots support for equine legislative issues
  • Inform local legislative leaders on important equine issues
Minimum Qualifications
  • Regional Managers shall have the following qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills; Ability to communicate with district managers and equine owners within their region
  • Competent electronic communication skills (use of computers, email, etc) and access to electronic communication
  • Strong networking abilities. Has established community ties with local and county government officials, equine professionals, agricultural extension agents, etc.
  • Marketing and promotion experience preferred
  • Ability to travel within the region and to statewide events
  • Leadership qualities. Self-motivated , self starter, motivated, passionate about the equine industry
