License Plate Application

THANKS NORTH CAROLINA! Your purchase of the "NC Horse Council Specialty Plate" will help us fund our grants and horse industry programs

The North Carolina Horse Council is actively pursuing legislation to provide this specialty license plate to equestrian enthusiasts throughout North Carolina. In advance of the production of this plate, we need at minimum 300 pre-sales of this plate. Please fill out and submit the application form demonstrating your intent to purchase this plate.

The funds from this license will be used to provide programs which benefit the horse industry. Just a few of those programs include:

• Scholarships for students majoring in equine subjects
• Grant to non-profit horse associations
• Education for horse care, trail building and maintenance, land management, and show management
• Keeping our members abreast of issues both within the state as well as nationally which may affect the horse industry
• Education the non-horse owning public about the horse and its importance in our economy
• Encouraging the development of equine related tourism
• Maintaining trails throughout the state and working with land mangers to ensure access to those trails.
• Providing support to horse rescue and emergency response teams
