The North Carolina Horse Council granted REINS Region 14 with a small grant to support an education Barn Tour on March 24th in Chatham County. We considered this educational opportunity to have been very successful as over 50 people signed in during the morning registration to go on the tour which included the following:

Barb Oslund, representing the NCHC, spoke with the tour group at lunch providing information on the Council and information on how to preserve our trails in North Carolina. All in all this was a very successful and informative program with the majority of attendees stating that the program meet their expectations and that the would definitely be taking back and suing the information at their own facilities or programs. Many shared with the program planners their desire to have future programs including subjects such as: aspects of buying, keeping and selling different breeds in North Carolina, more information on pasture management, business aspects of the horse industry and other topics too many to mention! Congratulations REINS Region 14 Volunteersâ¦.give yourselves a hand and maybe we will see you next year! |
