Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro will be offering Continuing Education courses in their Economic & Community Development Divison which includes courses on Sustainable & Green Education. Under this topic there will be a course titled Sustainable Practices for Equine Operations. A brief description of this course follows:

Best management practices for horse owners. Overview of the issues related to non-point source pollution, horses vs. other livestock, pasture, nutrient and water source management. Taught by Barbara Oslund.
